Stonehenge State School

Proudly serving the community of Stonehenge and surrounding properties since 1900.

Stonehenge State School is located within the Barcoo Shire in western Queensland. Stonehenge is 161 kilometres south west of Longreach and 67 kilometres north of Jundah.

The school caters for students from Preparatory to Year 7. Stonehenge State School is transitioning from the Queensland Curriculum to the Australian Curriculum as it becomes available. The Australian Curriculum is used in English, Mathematics and Science with the remaining Key Learning Areas (KLAs) of The Arts, Health and Physical Education (HPE), Studies of Society and the Environment (SOSE), and Information Communication Technology (ICT) drawn from the Queensland Curriculum.

Stonehenge, Jundah and Windorah State Schools form the Barcoo Cluster and work together to provide additional sporting and educational opportunities for the students in our shire. Activities include but are not limited to:  swim camps, athletics carnivals, science days, circus challenge, Under 8’s Day and NAIDOC Week.
